Rates: £12.75p/h - £14.50p/h DOE

Hours: 4 day week 37 hours Monday to Thursday (Overtime available @ 1.5)

Our client is a leading supplier in the Aerospace Sector, providing advanced composite and metal components for civil & defence aerospace applications. They are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of quality, particularly in cleanroom environments where critical aerospace components are assembled and inspected. They are currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Cleanroom Operatives to join their teams.

The role: As a Cleanroom Operative, you will be responsible for operating within a controlled cleanroom environment to ensure aerospace components are assembled, inspected, and packaged to very high standards of cleanliness and quality. The role demands strict adherence to cleanroom and contamination control protocols to maintain product integrity.

Clean Room Operative key responsibilities:

  • Work in a cleanroom environment to assemble, inspect, and package aerospace components, following detailed work instructions
  • Handle materials and components using appropriate cleanroom techniques, including the use of gloves, gowns, masks, and other PPE
  • Perform visual inspections of components for defects, contamination, or damage, using basic hand tools as required
  • Clean and maintain workstations, tools, and equipment to meet cleanroom cleanliness standards
  • Adhere to strict protocols for entering and exiting the cleanroom, including proper gowning procedures and airlock usage
  • Work with quality control and engineering teams to resolve any issues related to component cleanliness or assembly
  • Participate in regular cleanroom training sessions and stay up to date with the latest cleanroom procedures and best practices
  • Assist in the continuous improvement of cleanroom processes to enhance efficiency and product quality
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations specific to cleanroom operations

Person Specification:

  • Experience working in a cleanroom environment and clean room protocols is preferable but not essential, in the aerospace, or pharmaceutical industries
  • Detailed manufacturing experience as a minimum
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision
  • Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions, diagrams, and technical documents
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling small and delicate components is required
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and work in a cleanroom suit
