Join a dynamic FMCG engineering projects Team
The Role:
We are proud to represent a market-leading engineering EPCM organisation seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager / Project Engineer to deliver electrical projects across multiple prestigious FMCG food manufacturing sites in the UK.
Key duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead electrical projects from concept through to completion across FMCG manufacturing facilities
- Manage design, installation, commissioning, and fault resolution of electrical systems
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards
- Take full responsibility for labour planning, materials procurement, and project coordination
- Produce electrical costings, quotations, and tender submissions
- Hold full P&L responsibility, driving cost control and profitability
- Act as the primary client interface, maintaining strong and lasting relationships
- Identify new project opportunities and support business development
- Lead, develop, and supervise teams of electricians (2–10 personnel)
- Oversee RAMS generation, site safety, and compliance activities
- Ensure all works comply with BS 7671, IET Wiring Regulations, and NICEIC standards
- Conduct inspections, audits, and risk assessments across live manufacturing environments
- Maintain accurate technical and compliance documentation
- Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to source materials and services
- Support continuous improvement through innovation and efficiency initiatives
Candidate Profile:
- Technical & Industry Expertise - Strong background in FMCG electrical systems including LV power distribution and control systems
- Experience with process and material handling equipment (mixing, conveying, cooking, packing, palletising)
- Ability to integrate electrical systems with wider engineering and process operations
- Apprentice trained with 17th/18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Inspection & Testing (2391), ECS Manager Card, NEBOSH/SSSTS desirable
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in FMCG electrical project delivery
- Proven leadership, project management, and financial control capability
- Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills
- Flexible to travel / stay away UK wide with locations across the North West and in Wiltshire
