Industrial Electrician
Contract/ Temporary position. 12 Months+ work available.
Days. Monday to Friday. 6:30am - 3pm daily. Early finish on Fridays. 40 Hours per week.

Due to continued growth and an expanding project portfolio, they are looking to recruit an experienced Industrial Electrician to join their Projects & Installation team.

The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on Industrial Installation Electrician to work on the installation, commissioning and modification of electrical systems across customer sites throughout the UK, with occasional overseas travel where required.
You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality installation projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest engineering standards.
Working as part of a skilled engineering team, you’ll be involved in a variety of projects across manufacturing, food processing, water treatment, pharmaceutical and process industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Install industrial electrical systems on customer sites.
- Install containment systems including tray, basket, conduit and trunking.
- Install and terminate SY, CY and instrumentation cabling.
- Install motors, control panels, field instrumentation and associated equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and layout drawings.
- Carry out electrical testing, inspection and fault finding.
- Assist with commissioning and start-up activities.
- Ensure all installations comply with BS7671 and relevant industry standards.
- Work closely with Project Engineers, Site Managers and customers throughout project delivery.
- Complete installation documentation and testing records.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
- Represent the business professionally whilst working on customer sites.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Time-served Electrical Apprentice or recognised electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent).
- Previous experience carrying out industrial electrical installations.
- Experience working within manufacturing, food processing, pharmaceutical, utilities or process industries.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
- Experience installing containment systems and industrial cabling.
- Electrical testing and fault-finding experience.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK
Desirable Experience
- Experience with instrumentation installation.
- Knowledge of PLC-controlled systems.
- VSDs, motors and control panels.
- Experience working on process plants.
- IPAF and PASMA.
- Experience within hygienic food manufacturing or pharmaceutical environments.
