At G.F. Job Ltd, we are a specialist civil engineering contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality infrastructure works across the UK. Our core services include earthworks, reinforced concrete structures, drainage, roads, and utility installations. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects, we are looking for an experienced Site Supervisor / Site Manager to join our dedicated team.

The Role:

As Site Supervisor / Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of civil engineering projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of works. This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring a proactive approach to site coordination, health & safety, and team management.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage all on-site activities for civil engineering projects, from groundworks to final delivery

Coordinate and supervise direct labour, subcontractors, plant, and materials

Ensure all work is completed to technical specifications and quality standards

Maintain strong health & safety practices on site (including toolbox talks and site inductions)

Liaise with clients, engineers, and project managers to ensure progress and resolve any site issues

Maintain accurate site records, reports, and daily diaries

Monitor project progress against programme and report updates to management

Requirements:

Proven experience in a supervisory or site management role within civil engineering

Strong technical knowledge in earthworks, reinforced concrete, deep drainage, road construction, and utilities

Relevant qualifications Construction Management / Civil Engineering to HNC/HND/Degree - Desirable

SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) / SSSTS (Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme) – Desirable

3 Day First Aid

CSCS card – Gold or Black (Management level preferred)

Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills

Full UK driving licence
