We are a growing organisation looking to expand our electrical projects and are seeking an experienced, qualified Electrician who is either ready to progress into an Electrical Project Manager role or already established in a similar role.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, proactive, and organised individual to take ownership of electrical projects from inception through to completion while helping drive the continued growth of our business.

  • Typical Duties
  • Manage electrical projects from initial enquiry through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Prepare quotations, estimates, and project costings.
  • Plan, programme, and coordinate the day-to-day activities of electrical engineers and subcontractors.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, contract managers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects run smoothly.
  • Procure and order materials, plant, and equipment required for projects.
  • Monitor project progress, labour allocation, and budgets, taking corrective action where required.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor quality, compliance, and programme performance.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, variations, risk assessments, certifications, and handover documentation.
  • Ensure client satisfaction through regular communication and effective project management.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for additional works and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Raise requisitions for materials, plant, and subcontractors as required.
  • Ensure projects are delivered within agreed budgets and programmes.
  • Ensure all electrical works comply with the Electricity at Work Regulations, BS 7671 (18th Edition), and NICEIC requirements.
  • Ensure Health & Safety legislation and company procedures are implemented and maintained across all projects.
  • Oversee electrical testing, commissioning, certification, and final handover documentation.
  • Assist with NICEIC assessments and maintain compliance standards across projects.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to engineers and site teams.
  • Manage project risks, variations, and commercial performance.
  • Develop strong working relationships with clients and provide regular project updates.
  • Help develop and improve internal processes, quality assurance systems, and project delivery standards.

Qualifications

  • Fully qualified Electrician with NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical installations and current industry regulations.
  • Experience managing electrical projects within commercial and/or domestic sectors.
  • Excellent understanding of NICEIC certification and compliance processes.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience preparing quotations and managing project costs.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, organisational, and planning skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Personable and professional, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing) or equivalent (2394/2395).
  • ECS Gold or Black Card.
  • Experience using project management software and digital certification systems (e. g. NICEIC Online or similar).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in electrical installation.
  • Previous experience in an Electrical Supervisor, Contracts Manager, or Project Manager role.
