We are looking for a salaried GP to join Partners in Health with two sites across Gloucester, this will require working at both locations.
This is an opportunity for a GP who enjoys working in a team environment to join our friendly practice within the heart of Gloucester. The practice has a stable clinical staff structure, but with an increasing patient population we are now looking to augment the current GPs with an additional salaried GP(s) covering 5 sessions.
We are owned and operated by G DOC LTD, a not-for- profit organisation owned by all the GP practices in Gloucestershire. Being part of the GDOC family offers our GPs the best of both worlds: a small Practice team providing continuity of care for patients, and the support and career opportunities of a larger organisation to draw on when you want.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a new or established GP seeking a salaried position for 6 sessions (27 hours) per week.
Interviews will be held on the morning of Tuesday 21st April.
Main duties of the job
Primarycare clinician duties, including (but not limited to) face to faceconsultations, video consultations, telephone consultations, e-consultationsand queries. Also, home visits, dutydoctor/on-call responsibilities, clinical administration, prescribing, anddealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion. Acting as Named GP for a share of registeredpatients proportionate to contracted hours.
Complying with the General Medical CouncilsGood Medical Practice and other standards for doctors.

G DOC LTD is owned by all the GP Practices in Gloucestershire; thePractices are our shareholders.
We operate on a not-for-profit basis: any profits are redistributed intoprimary care in Gloucestershire.
We are a limited company run by a Board of Directors, most of whom are experiencedlocal GPs.
We run a number of GP practices, as well as some other services for thewhole county.
In Gloucester we run 9,500 patients at Gloucester Health Access Centre/MatsonLane (9,500 patients) and Partners inHealth (12,400).
In the Forest of Dean, we run two practices, both of which aredispensing: Lydney (7,500 patients), and Blakeney (3,200 patients).
From 1 August 2025, G DOC will be running Coleford Medical Practice dispensing: (13,600) patients.
Our countywide services include:
Over 17,000 primary care appointments each year at Gloucester HealthAccess Centre for patients who may need to be seen the same day when their ownpractice is already full, or who do not have a registered GP. GHAC is open8am8pm, 365 days a year.
Job responsibilities
Surgery consultations and emergencies, telephone consultationsand queries, triaging, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeatprescriptions and dealing with queries, patient test results, patient medicalreports and examinations (e.g. insurance companies) on behalf of thePractice, referral letters, and NHS/private paperwork and correspondence.
Undertaking a share of the clinical and administrative work ofthe Practice, including pooled clinical admin, QOF, audit, prescribingreviews etc.
Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation topresenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health careworkers within the organisation;
Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreedstandards;
Collecting data for audit purposes as per Practice protocols.
Reviewing patients for the purposes of quality improvement andsafety. i.e. MRHA safety alerts and long-term condition reviews.
Prescribing in accordance with locally agreed or nationalguidelines.
Cover for other doctors by reciprocal sharing of correspondence,results and prescriptions for absent doctors.
