A rapidly growing, values-driven consultancy is seeking a talented Technical Cyber Security Consultant to join their expanding team. The company works with public sector clients across Cyber, Telecommunications, and Data, delivering innovative solutions to some of the UK’s most important challenges. This is an exciting opportunity to work on diverse technical cyber security projects while contributing to organisational growth and shaping the future of the business.

What you will do:

  • Collaborate with public sector clients to understand their challenges, provide guidance, and implement robust cyber security solutions.
  • Translate technical frameworks into practical, client-specific security strategies that manage risk effectively.
  • Lead design and deployment of secure network architectures and operational controls across projects.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and identify potential vulnerabilities, proposing solutions to reduce risk.
  • Establish and maintain internal security standards, policies, and documentation that guide organisational practices.
  • Present insights and recommendations to stakeholders, supporting proposals, workshops, and technical discussions.
  • Take ownership of project deliverables, ensuring quality, timeliness, and attention to detail.

What You’ll Need:

  • Relevant experience in cyber security, ideally in a consulting or client-facing delivery environment.
  • Demonstrable expertise in one or more domains: Security Architecture, Security Operations, Identity & Access Management, Security Engineering.
  • Practical experience with cloud-based security controls (Azure, AWS, GCP) and security frameworks (e.g., ISO27001, NIST, CAF).
  • Programming or scripting experience, with an ability to adapt technical solutions to client needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior clients.
  • UK Security Clearance (SC) or eligibility to obtain SC clearance.
  • Must be a British citizen and resident in the UK for the last 5 years.
