Are you the Android Engineer who does more than just pick up the next ticket? I'm working with a growing FinTech who are looking for a Senior Android Engineer to join an already strong mobile engineering team. They've got the technical talent. What they're looking for now is someone who can bring the leadership, ownership and personality to help bring that team together.
The opportunity
You will be working on a modern, customer-facing banking app, taking real end-to-end ownership of what you build. That could mean spotting a problem before it becomes a ticket, challenging how something is being done, improving releases or testing, mentoring another Engineer or simply getting the right people around a table to make a decision.
You’ll be getting stuck into:
- Modern Android development with Kotlin & Jetpack
- Root-cause analysis and solving real production problems
- Working collaboratively across Engineering, Product and the wider business
- Taking ownership and helping drive technical improvements
- Good understanding of Kotlin concurrency
- Someone who takes ownership rather than simply completing tickets
- A strong communicator who enjoys mentoring, collaborating and challenging ideas
- Excited about AI and how it can improve modern software engineering
Experience within FinTech, Banking, Payments, Gambling or another regulated environment would be a bonus, but isn't essential. There's also genuine scope here to develop towards Tech Lead / People Management in the future. London - Hybrid (2-3 days in the office)
If you're a Senior Android Engineer who likes to spot problems, own them and actually make things better, I'd love to tell you more.

How to prepare for a job interview at G.Digital
✨Brush Up on Your Coding Skills
For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.
✨Know Your Tools and Frameworks
Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. ✨Prepare for Behavioural Questions
While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
