We're looking for an experienced Head of IT Business Solutions to lead the strategy, governance and optimisation of a complex enterprise application landscape within a large, multi-site organisation. This is a senior leadership role for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of technology and business. You'll be responsible for ensuring business applications, data platforms and emerging AI capabilities deliver measurable value, while leading a high-performing team through an exciting period of digital transformation. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, you will define the future direction of the organisation's business solutions, ensuring technology investments support long-term business objectives. Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business, you will drive application strategy, simplify and modernise the technology estate, and ensure solutions are successfully embedded into day-to-day operations. Develop and own the enterprise business applications strategy and roadmap. Lead the architecture, governance and optimisation of core business platforms, driving standardisation and reducing complexity. Oversee the successful delivery of enterprise applications, ensuring smooth transition from project delivery into business-as-usual support. Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities where technology can improve efficiency, productivity and customer outcomes. Champion data governance, analytics and AI-enabled solutions that support better decision-making and operational performance. Ensure business solutions remain secure, compliant and aligned with organisational governance standards. Lead, develop and inspire a Business Solutions team, creating a culture focused on collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement. Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, IT teams and delivery partners to prioritise demand and maximise business value. You'll be a strategic technology leader with a strong background in enterprise applications and business transformation. You'll be equally comfortable discussing long-term technology strategy with executives as you are working with delivery teams to ensure successful implementation. Significant experience leading enterprise business applications within a complex organisation. Strong knowledge of ERP platforms (ideally SAP S/4HANA), HCM systems such as Workday, CRM platforms including Salesforce, Power BI and enterprise data platforms. Experience delivering large-scale transformation, application consolidation and technology standardisation programmes. A background within manufacturing or industrial environments, including ERP and manufacturing systems integration, would be advantageous. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at executive level. Knowledge of Lean, Agile or continuous improvement methodologies. This is an opportunity to shape the future of enterprise technology within a business that is investing heavily in digital transformation. You'll have the autonomy to influence strategy, lead meaningful change and introduce innovative technologies, including AI, that create lasting business impact. If you're passionate about modernising business technology, developing high-performing teams and delivering measurable outcomes, we'd love to hear from you.
