We're working with a growing technology consultancy based in Leeds City Centre, looking to add a Mid-Level QA Engineer to their team.
This is a genuine opportunity to join a business where testing isn't siloed away from development. You'll sit alongside software engineers and delivery managers as one team, working across the full software development lifecycle on multiple varied and challenging projects, from acceptance criteria through to go live.
The role:
- Build a strong working understanding of a broad range of bespoke software products
- Work with clients and colleagues to define clear, testable acceptance criteria
- Plan, create and maintain automated tests, with a strong focus on Playwright
- Support testing across UI and API layers
- Work within Agile delivery teams, contributing to sprint planning and ceremonies
- Provide support and triage feedback during UAT
- Take ownership of your area of testing with real autonomy, not just following a script
What we're looking for:
- Solid commercial testing experience
- Strong, hands-on automation testing experience, specifically with Playwright
- Comfortable working across both UI and API test automation
- Experience working in Agile development teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and a genuine focus on quality
- Confident working independently as well as part of a team
- Comfortable in a client-facing role
Nice to have:
- Playwright experience using TypeScript
- Exposure to load testing (JMeter, K6) or security testing tools (ZAP)
- Experience contributing to or leading testing on a project
What's on offer:
- Salary up to Β£45,000
- Private health cover
- Pension matching up to 6%
- Dedicated career coach
- Discretionary annual bonus
- Cycle to work scheme
