Digital have exclusively partnered with an exciting HealthTech business looking to hire a Lead Data Engineer to help kick off a build of a brand-new Data Engineering function from the ground up.

This isn’t your standard contract; it’s a leadership role so definitely won’t suit everyone.

Initially, you’ll be hands-on delivering a critical Data Engineering project expected to run for the first 3–6 months. From there, you’ll have the autonomy to define what the Data Engineering capability looks like moving forward, tooling, architecture, strategy and team build included. Huge opportunity to genuinely influence engineering direction within a scaling business.

What they’re looking for:

  • Strong hands-on Data Engineering experience across Python, Spark, SQL and PySpark
  • Experience working with hyperscaler cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP
  • Exposure to modern tooling including Databricks, Microsoft Fabric and PowerBI
  • Previous experience building, leading or mentoring Data Engineering teams
