Are you a Product Owner who thrives in fast paced Agile delivery environments and enjoys working directly with engineers to shape, refine and deliver product features? If so I want to speak with you! I’m working with a digital delivery team who are looking for a Technical Product Owner to sit directly within an engineering squad.
You'll be owning the backlog and working hands on with developers to turn ideas into well defined, delivery ready user stories. This is a highly tactical, execution focused position where you’ll be embedded with the squad day to day, driving delivery flow, backlog clarity and sprint output!
Why you’ll love this role:
- Be embedded directly in an engineering squad where your decisions actively shape how features are built, refined and shipped.
- Take full ownership of the backlog, driving clarity, prioritisation and momentum so the team always knows exactly what’s next and why it matters.
- Work side by side with developers, QA and delivery teams in a genuinely collaborative Agile environment where ideas turn into production quickly.
- Own the detail that actually drives delivery: user stories, acceptance criteria and sprint readiness that keep teams unblocked and moving fast.
- See your impact in real time through live releases, Show & Tells and continuous delivery (not months later in a slide deck).
- Step into a high velocity product environment where execution, pace and delivery excellence are genuinely valued every single day.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the build, working with engineers day to day and taking real ownership of backlog and delivery!
What you'll be doing:
- Own and drive the product backlog end-to-end.
- Bring structure, clarity and sharp prioritisation so the squad always has a clear, well refined pipeline of high impact work ready to go.
- Craft high quality user stories & acceptance criteria.
- Work directly with engineers to break down complex features into clear, build ready stories that keep delivery fast and focused.
- Play a key role in sprint planning & delivery execution.
- Help the team stay aligned, unblocked and laser focused on what matters most each sprint.
- Work embedded within an engineering squad day to day.
- Collaborate closely with developers and QA in real time to keep delivery flowing smoothly and decisions moving quickly.
- Bring features to life in Show & Tell sessions.
- Translate technical outputs into clear, meaningful product value that stakeholders can actually understand and get excited about.
- Continuously improve delivery flow and team performance.
- Spot friction, refine ways of working and help the squad move from idea to release faster and more effectively each time.
Hybrid: London (2 days a week) Salary up to £65k depending on experience. If you’re someone who enjoys being embedded with engineers, owning the backlog and driving real delivery output rather than sitting in workshops and documentation then I’d love to chat.
