G & D Higgins Mechanical Services Limited are a well-established mechanical services contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality services across the construction and commercial sectors. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Contracts Manager to work across our London portfolio, combining office-based work with regular site presence.
The role involves responsibility for the safe, compliant and profitable delivery of planned and reactive M&E works and minor projects across allocated contracts. This is a key role with responsibility for operational delivery, compliance, commercial performance and client relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the delivery of planned and reactive M&E works across multiple sites
- Leading and coordinating engineers and subcontractors
- Ensuring RAMS, permit-to-work and compliance systems are effective and audit-ready
- Maintaining strong client relationships and acting as the main contract point of contact
- Delivering contractual KPIs and SLA performance, reporting and governance
- Managing budgets, cost control, variations and commercial performance
- Supporting continuous improvement and identifying opportunities for additional works
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience in a Contracts Manager or similar role within M&E or building services
- Strong understanding of health and safety, compliance and permit systems
- Experience managing engineers, subcontractors and multi-site delivery
- Commercially aware, with experience managing budgets and margins
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective client relationships
- Comfortable working across office and site environments

Location and working hours:
- London based, with a mix of office, site and client-facing work
- Full-time, permanent role
- £55,000 - £65,000
