Today we’re the main category leader – but we’re not standing still. With ambitious growth plans we’re expanding beyond the potato into new occasions categories and channels across Retail Foodservice and QSR.

We’re now looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager a strategic marketing leader ready to help us write the next chapter. This is a fixed‑term contract for up to 12 months.

In this role you’ll take ownership of a dynamic product portfolio driving growth through sharp consumer insight bold strategy and flawless curiosity creativity and commercial acumen – combining a deep understanding of people with the discipline of data. From shaping brand strategy and leading cross‑functional teams to working with world‑class creative agencies and delivering innovation to market you’ll play a central role in strengthening our brands and unlocking new opportunities.

This is a role for a marketer who thinks big and thrives on making things as comfortable leading strategic conversations with senior stakeholders as you are digging into consumer trends analysing data or inspiring agencies to create award‑winning all you’ll bring energy imagination and a genuine passion for connecting brands with people.

What you’ll do

Shape and deliver breakthrough brand strategies rooted in consumer insight.

Manage and grow your portfolio with a sharp eye on profitability and performance.

Drive pricing promotion and portfolio strategies that create lasting commercial impact.

Partner with creative media and PR agencies to deliver compelling insight‑led communications.

Lead cross‑functional teams in developing and launching innovations that excite consumers and customers alike.

Accountabilities and Experience & Knowledge

  • Proven experience within an FMCG marketing team having held a Product or Brand Manager role Essential
  • Previous people management experience Desirable
  • Degree level education or equivalent Essential
  • Strong grasp of consumer data sources (EPOS Shopper Panel) Essential
  • Understanding of consumer research techniques Essential

Location

Being in the office every single day is a thing of the past. Here at McCain we champion hybrid working. This means we don’t have a set expectation of exactly when you need to be in the office – however we do encourage our full‑time office‑based people to connect in person weekly as that’s the best way for us to build and maintain our connections. Our head office (Customer Experience Centre) is on the outskirts of Scarborough – 1.5 hours away from Leeds City Centre and about an hour from York. We have lots of colleagues who travel to and from our Experience Centre (even if it is just for a good coffee!) and because hybrid really does mean hybrid at McCain they get the opportunity to collaborate with their colleagues when they’re in the office and balance that with working from home to ensure they get a good life‑work balance.
