G. Adams Construction are seeking an experienced, skilled site-based general builder to join our team on a full time, permanent basis. Based in Tredegar and operating sites throughout NP, CF, LD and SA postcodes, G. Adams Construction offers flexible, high quality building solutions to commercial, education, healthcare, industrial, leisure and residential sectors. Since 1987 we have been producing complete quality in the construction of new buildings, the refurbishment of existing buildings, barn conversions and group repair schemes. The post is permanent, full time, site based and the ideal candidate will meet the key skills and qualities criteria and must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
KEY SKILLS/QUALITIES
- Multi skilled with excellent all-round site experience.
- Proven success in experience on residential and commercial construction projects.
- Self-motivated with a genuine interest in producing high quality workmanship.
- Confident in own ability with an eye for detail.
- Critical thinking capabilities for planning and problem solving.
- Good communication skills.
- A proactive safety-first attitude.
- NVQ/City and Guilds qualified.
- Valid UK Driving Licence.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Own tools.
- Working on site with a team to meet deadlines and targets.
- Working from drawings and specification.
- Site preparation, structural works, refurbishment, new work and finishing.
- Ensuring quality standards.
- Adhering to safety regulations.
- Adhering to building regulations.
REMUNERATION/BENEFITS:
- 28 days holiday increasing with length of service and career progression.
