What you'll do

  • Spearhead the security team in crafting and executing comprehensive security protocols and practices tailored to our organizational needs.
  • Partner closely with engineering teams to seamlessly incorporate security measures into the software development lifecycle, ensuring security is a priority from the outset.
  • Conduct regular assessments of existing security measures and recommend enhancements to address emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Develop and deliver training programs aimed at fostering a culture of security awareness among all employees.
  • Stay updated on the latest security trends and technologies, integrating relevant advancements into our security strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, minimizing risk exposure.
  • Lead incident response efforts, coordinating with relevant stakeholders to effectively manage and mitigate security breaches.
  • Prepare detailed reports for senior management, outlining security risks, incidents, and the effectiveness of current security measures.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and skill enhancement.
  • Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of security initiatives and report on progress to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • A solid track record in Security Engineering, DevSecOps, or Application Security, with a focus on practical implementation.
  • Proven leadership capabilities, with experience in guiding and developing technical security teams.
  • Familiarity with the dynamics of a SaaS or product-oriented technology environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of cloud security, application security, and modern engineering methodologies.
  • Ability to think strategically while also maintaining hands-on technical expertise.
  • Exceptional collaborative leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage engineering teams effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to identifying potential security risks.

  • Experience with compliance frameworks and risk management practices, particularly in regulated industries.
