We’re working with a highly advanced engineering organisation developing cutting-edge simulation technology used within complex, mission-critical environments. They are looking for a Software Test Engineer to join a specialist simulation software team responsible for ensuring high-quality software releases across sophisticated real-time systems. This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of software, simulation, testing and systems engineering within a collaborative Agile environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting the full software testing and proving lifecycle for simulation software releases
  • Developing and executing software test plans, test cases and test specifications
  • Performing software verification, qualification and defect testing activities
  • Analysing software logs and data to identify and investigate issues
  • Supporting CI/CD testing activities and release processes
  • Working closely with software developers, support teams and project leads
  • Producing detailed test and analysis reports for certification and compliance purposes

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience within software testing or software test automation
  • Strong understanding of log analysis and software debugging processes
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and Agile environments
  • Experience with tools such as GitLab, JIRA and scripting technologies
  • Understanding of compliance, verification or regulated engineering environments
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Simulation or emulator software environments
  • Linux networking or analysis tools
  • AI-driven test automation tooling
