This fast-paced scale-up retail business, undergoing a major digital and technology transformation, is looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead a brand-new product domain focused on customer acquisition, lead generation and the early stages of the ecommerce customer journey.

This is a high-profile Product role sitting at the intersection of Product, Engineering, Digital, Marketing and Commercial, with ownership of how new customers discover and engage with the business online, how they navigate and select the right products, and ultimately how they progress through the journey towards purchase.

We're looking for someone who has personally owned customer acquisition and conversion problems, can demonstrate how they've used data and experimentation to identify opportunities, and can talk in detail about the decisions, hypotheses and trade-offs behind the outcomes they've delivered.

You'll combine strategic Product ownership with a hands-on approach, working closely with Engineering and wider commercial teams to turn customer and business problems into a clear roadmap and measurable improvements.

What you'll be doing:

  • Owning the strategy and roadmap for a new digital Product domain focused on customer acquisition, lead generation and ecommerce conversion.
  • Identifying opportunities to widen the acquisition funnel, improve how prospective customers engage with the business and increase progression towards purchase.
  • Improving product discovery and selection, helping customers navigate a considered purchase and find the products most relevant to their needs.
  • Working closely with Digital and Marketing teams across acquisition channels, connecting marketing activity with the onsite customer journey.
  • Using behavioural analytics, funnel data, customer research and experimentation to understand where and why customers drop out of journeys.
  • Developing hypotheses and running A/B tests and experiments, using results to determine what to scale, iterate or stop.
  • Working closely with Engineering, UX and BI throughout discovery and delivery, from identifying the problem through to measuring the impact after release.
  • Owning prioritisation and ensuring Product decisions balance customer value, commercial opportunity and technical complexity.
  • Defining clear success metrics and demonstrating the commercial impact of Product initiatives.

What we're looking for:

  • Significant Product Management experience, including operating at Senior Product Manager level within a consumer-facing digital environment.
  • Strong experience owning customer acquisition, lead generation, growth or the early stages of an ecommerce funnel.
  • A strong background in B2C ecommerce, retail or another high-volume consumer digital environment.
  • Evidence of personally delivering measurable improvements to acquisition, conversion, engagement or commercial performance.
  • Deep experience using customer behaviour, funnel analytics, experimentation and A/B testing to make Product decisions.
  • Able to demonstrate specific examples of taking a customer or commercial problem from discovery and hypothesis through to delivery, experimentation and measurable outcome.
  • Strong experience working directly with Engineering teams and enough technical understanding to challenge, prioritise and make informed trade-offs.
  • Comfortable operating strategically while remaining close enough to the detail to understand why a particular initiative succeeded or failed.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly across Product, Engineering, Digital, Marketing, BI and Commercial.

Nice to have:

  • Retail or omnichannel experience.
  • Experience within a considered-purchase customer journey, rather than purely transactional ecommerce.
  • Experience with product discovery, recommendations, personalisation or customer segmentation.
  • Experience improving Product ways of working within a growing or transforming organisation.

This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a newly created Product area within a business investing heavily in technology and digital. You'll have the autonomy to shape the strategy from an early stage and the opportunity to make a measurable impact on how the business acquires new customers and converts digital interest into commercial growth.
