Payments Business Analyst – Spanish Speaking
Location: Hybrid (London based with some UK & European travel)
Salary: £80,000 – £95,000 + 20% Bonus + 10% Non-Contributory Pension
We’re working with a highly regarded, forward-thinking fintech consultancy at the forefront of payment innovation. They’re looking for a Spanish-speaking Payments Business Analyst to help shape and deliver cutting-edge payments solutions for leading global banks.
You’ll be joining a team that’s transforming how institutions approach payments, using a flexible, low-code platform designed specifically for the modern banking environment.
The Role
In this role, you\’ll act as a vital bridge between business needs and technical delivery, gathering and refining requirements, designing solutions, and driving delivery across agile teams. You’ll work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure solutions are practical, high-quality, and aligned with evolving market standards like ISO20022.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders to capture and refine business requirements into clear, actionable user stories
- Collaborate on solution design with architects and product teams
- Maintain and prioritise delivery backlogs to maximise business value
- Run agile ceremonies and contribute to a high-performing, delivery-focused team
- Ensure new features are documented, tested, and production-ready
- Provide demos, support UAT, and liaise closely with clients
About You
You’re a proactive self-starter who enjoys solving complex problems and delivering real value. You’re also an excellent communicator, capable of engaging with both technical and business teams.
You’ll also bring:
- Fluency in Spanish and ability to travel to Europe – likely to be 2/3 days a month
- Strong experience in business analysis within banking, fintech, or financial services
- In-depth knowledge of multiple payment schemes (e.g. SEPA, SCT Inst, FPS, RTGS)
- Solid understanding of ISO20022 messaging formats and schemas
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban)
- Familiarity with tools and techniques such as UML, sequence diagrams, and state diagrams
