The business designs and delivers innovative systems that help retailers reduce waste, streamline logistics, and enhance customer experience â all while driving measurable environmental and commercial benefits.
As Account Director, your primary focus will be on driving new business growth and expanding the company\âs footprint across the UK retail market. You will combine a strong commercial mindset with a consultative, solution-led approach, developing longâterm partnerships with major retailers and brand owners, while identifying and converting new opportunities into strategic accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Lead new business development initiatives across major UK retailers, identifying, targeting, and converting new opportunities for reusable and returnable packaging solutions.
Develop multi-level relationships with key retail stakeholders, from sustainability leads to procurement and operations teams.
Collaborate with internal engineering, sustainability, and supply chain teams to create bespoke, valueâadding packaging solutions.
Manage existing accounts to ensure satisfaction and identify growth opportunities through innovation and service excellence.
Develop and execute account and territory plans that align with the company\âs long-term commercial and sustainability goals.
Oversee tender processes, contract negotiations, and complex solution rollouts.
Monitor market trends and competitor activity, positioning the business as a leading innovator in circular packaging systems.
Report on sales performance, pipeline development, and growth forecasts, contributing to regional and global strategy.
About You
Proven track record in new business development and solution-based B2B sales, ideally within packaging, retail supply chain, or reusable systems.
Strong network and experience selling into major UK retailers such as Tesco, Sainsbury\âs, M&S, ASDA, H&M, Primark, or similar.
Commercially strategic, entrepreneurial, and confident in identifying and capitalising on new market opportunities.
Excellent relationshipâbuilding skills with senior retail and procurement stakeholders.
Strong communicator, capable of translating complex technical solutions into clear commercial value.
Selfâmotivated, resilient, and driven by delivering measurable impact for clients and the planet.
