Due to significant growth within one of our West Coast clients, we are looking to recruit a Nightshift Site Engineer. Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor you will provide a high standard of engineering service to the site including maintenance of plant, machinery and services to a safe and reliable standard. You will support the achievement of the processing site's goals and objectives by working closely with hygiene, technical and production teams on a daily basis.
Shift: Mon – Fri (1am - 10am)
What does the job entail?
- Maintain and monitor plant equipment ensuring they are running at optimum and develop the site PPM structure for the pirana assets care system.
- Ensure compliance of plant and equipment to current legislative standards such as: air receivers, lifting equipment, compressors, evaporators, fire-safety systems.
- Requirement to take part in out of hours rota as required; respond to all process and fire alarms and assist the emergency services as required.
What are we looking for?
- Experience of working with electrical/mechanical systems.
- Structured and practical engineering training e.g. apprenticeship/HNC.
- Flexibility to provide shift cover.
- Knowledge and experience of process control systems.
- Team player.
- Qualified to IEEE and with welding experience and/or fitting/general mechanical aptitude.
- Familiar with fish processing, plant equipment and basic electrical skills on LV systems.
- Ability to record issues and workload on CMMS system is essential.
