Fylde Council’s Tourism Team is seeking to appoint a Tourism and Events Support Officer to provide essential administrative and organisational support across the Council’s tourism and events programmes. This newly created role offers a varied workload and will report directly to the Council’s Tourism Officer.
The postholder will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of events activity, updating website and social media content in collaboration with the Council’s in-house Communications Team, plus supporting the planning and delivery of events organised by Fylde Council.
The role requires strong communication and organisational skills, a proactive and positive attitude, and a practical hands-on approach. You will be a committed team player, capable of using your own initiative in order to support the efficient and effective delivery of the Tourism Team’s objectives.
Working days can be flexible to be agreed with the line manager of this post. The post holder will be expected to work weekends when required to support the events delivered by the team.
