Fylde Council is looking for dependable, hardworking individuals to join our Waste Operations team as Labourers. This is a physically demanding but rewarding frontline role where you’ll play an important part in keeping Fylde clean, safe, and welcoming for residents, businesses, and visitors. You’ll be working outdoors in all weather conditions as part of a tight‑knit crew delivering essential services every day. As a Waste Collection Labourer, you’ll support a range of environmental services including refuse and recycling collections, street cleansing, and beach cleaning. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Collecting household and commercial waste and recycling across the borough

  • Assisting the driver with safe reversing and manoeuvring

  • Working on the beach and in open spaces to maintain cleanliness
  • Emptying litter and dog waste bins
  • Assisting with the removal of fly‑tipped waste, including hazardous materials when required
  • Working in back alleys and public areas to clear waste and vegetation
  • Assisting with the delivery, repair, and removal of bins and containers
  • Supporting public awareness by promoting correct recycling practices
  • Reporting hazards, missed collections, defects, or issues promptly
