Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC) is currently seeking a committed and proactive Placement Officer to join our Health, Education and Science team on a fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in supporting high-quality industry placements that help shape the future workforce across the health, education and early years sectors. Your work will directly support student success, employer engagement and the development of meaningful, impactful placement experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Securing high-quality, meaningful industry placements across health, education and early years settings, building and maintaining strong employer relationships.
  • Supporting students throughout the full placement lifecycle, including pre-placement preparation, onboarding, DBS processes, progress reviews and attendance monitoring.
  • Working collaboratively across B&FC, particularly with the Careers Team and employer partners, to ensure students receive robust career development support and that placements meet required quality standards.
  • Maintaining accurate placement records and reporting, ensuring compliance with DfE requirements and supporting continuous quality improvement.
  • Facilitating mandatory placement training for students and helping to create positive, effective learning environments.
