You’ll be working for a well-established team who work in multiple fields including Young People, Outdoor Education, Physical Activity, Housing, and our own workforce. We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Operations Manager to join our leadership team at YMCA Lakeside, one of the UK’s leading outdoor activity centres. With ongoing site development, we’re in a period of exciting development and growth — and we need someone who’s ready to lead, inspire, and make a real impact. Every year, over 12,000 young people visit Lakeside to challenge themselves, build confidence, and create lifelong memories. You’ll be at the heart of delivering these transformational experiences.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading and developing our Programme Delivery Team
- Ensuring safe, high-quality outdoor learning programmes
- Managing budgets, equipment, and compliance
- Driving a proactive safety culture
- Recruiting and training staff
What we’re looking for:
- Outdoor leadership/coaching qualifications
- Experience working with young people in outdoor learning
- Proven team leadership skills
- Confident with IT (MS365)
- Passionate about making a difference
