Join Our Team

We're looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join our team at Fylde Autocare. We're a busy independent garage carrying out everything from routine servicing and MOT repairs through to clutches, timing belts, wet belts, turbos, diagnostics and specialist DPF work. No two days are the same, and we're looking for someone who enjoys getting stuck in and takes pride in doing the job properly.

This role would suit someone who can work confidently on their own, complete repairs to a high standard and be trusted to get on with the job.

What We're Looking For

  • Can confidently carry out servicing, brakes, suspension, MOT repairs and general maintenance.
  • Is experienced with clutches, timing belts, wet belts, turbos and other major mechanical repairs.
  • Can complete work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
  • Has basic diagnostic and fault-finding skills and enjoys solving problems.
  • Is happy to ask for help when needed but is equally comfortable working things out independently.
  • Takes pride in their work, their workshop and the tools they use.
  • Notices the little things—whether that's preparing the next job, keeping the workshop tidy or helping another member of the team.
  • Holds a full UK driving licence.

Previous DPF experience isn't required either. If you've got a solid mechanical background, we'll provide the training needed to develop your knowledge.

Why Join Fylde Autocare?

We believe a great place to work is about more than just salary. That's why we're continually investing in our workshop, our equipment and our team. We believe giving technicians the right tools and the right environment helps them do their best work.

What we offer:

  • £32,000-£40,000 DOE (negotiable for the right person).
  • Monday-Friday working.
  • No weekends.
  • Overtime available and paid at time and a half.
  • Two-week Christmas shutdown.
  • Workplace pension.
  • Bonus opportunities.
  • Uniform provided.
  • Use of the workshop and equipment outside working hours.
  • Modern, clean workshop with quality facilities.
  • Continued investment in equipment and specialist tooling.

We're proud of the workshop we've built, and we're looking for someone who'll take the same pride in helping us maintain it. As the business grows, we want our team to grow with it. If you work hard, take pride in what you do and continue developing your skills, we'll always recognise that.

The right workshop. The right tools. The right people.

If you're looking for a long-term opportunity with a garage that genuinely values quality workmanship and looks after its team, we'd love to hear from you. Apply with your CV or get in touch for a confidential chat.

Pay: £32,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
