We are Fyffes! One of the largest and oldest tropical produce importers and distributors. For over 130 years, we have brought a choice of tropical produce to countless millions around the world. Since our beginning in 1888, we have been committed to bringing the world the highest quality products, inspiring people to feel excitement about our products and making a positive difference for our growers and farmers, our customers and the environment.

Now we’re looking for a Category Analyst to join our Category Development team, with a focus on shopper insight, market trends and retail performance.

What you will do:

  • Analyse market trends, shopper behaviour and customer performance data to produce clear, structured insights that support category plans and day-to-day decision-making.
  • Deliver reporting, highlighting trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Provide insight-led support across a range of category and commercial activities, including pricing and promotional analysis, business development work and new product reviews.
  • Support the delivery and continuous improvement of clear, insight-led reporting, ensuring outputs are relevant and easy for commercial teams to act on.

This role is suited to someone who enjoys working with commercial data and supporting teams with reliable, insight-led outputs.

Some key responsibilities:

  • Deliver accurate and timely insights on category, customer and shopper performance.
  • Support category plans through analysis of product, price, promotion and placement (4Ps).
  • Provide analysis to support revenue growth management (pricing, promotions, product mix).
  • Maintain data accuracy and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

What you need to bring:

  • A strong interest in FMCG, retail, shopper behaviour and category performance.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
  • Commercial awareness and interest in shopper and category performance.
  • Organised and able to prioritise workload and deadlines effectively.
  • Experience in a category, shopper insight or commercial analysis role (FMCG or retail preferred).
  • Strong Excel skills and experience working with multiple data sources.
  • Ability to present data clearly and concisely to different stakeholders.
  • Good communication skills and collaborative approach.
  • Experience with Kantar, Nielsen or similar tools (desirable).

This is a commercial, FMCG category role focused on insight generation rather than a technical/data science position.

What it is like to work at Fyffes:

  • We are ambitious, but grounded.
  • We believe in high performance, but not at the expense of people.
  • We operate globally, but value local relationships.
  • We play to win as one Fyffes.
  • We shape the future.
  • We are transparent and inclusive.
  • We are moved by doing good.

Sustainability, responsibility and long‑term thinking shape us and our actions every day - they are part of our DNA and how we operate. We truly believe that we thrive on diversity, and we treat all candidates equally. Interested? We look forward to hearing from you!
