Location: Cookstown
Hours: You will work 40 hours per week, working between the hours of 08.30am and 17.30pm Monday – Friday. In addition, you will be required to work alternative Saturdays between the hours of 9.00 and 1.00pm.
The Role: We are currently looking for an Assistant Branch Manager for our team in Cookstown branch. The successful candidate will support the Branch Manager in the day-to-day running of the branch and deputise in their absence, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the business. This is a key role focused on delivering strong branch performance, excellent customer service and effective team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in driving branch sales and achieving profit margins in line with agreed targets.
- Warehouse duties - ensuring timely processing of goods, receiving, checking and storing incoming deliveries. Picking, packing and dispatching orders.
- Ensure stock accuracy at all times, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Deliver and promote excellent, prompt customer service, handling parts queries and complaints professionally.
- Maintain accurate cash handling processes and investigate any variances.
- Support credit control procedures to ensure debtor targets are achieved.
- Assist in ensuring appropriate staffing levels and maintaining accurate staff records.
- Support the training, mentoring and development of branch staff.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations.
- Assist in maintaining clear communication with the team regarding targets and priorities.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
- A great record of customer service.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable outlook.
- Good computer skills to utilise our electronic parts catalogues and product look up systems.
- Previous experience in an automotive sales environment, counter sales, or motor mechanic.
- Previous experience working with MAM Autopart and Autocat Software.
- Previous experience in stock control and branch operations.
- Knowledge of health and safety practices in a retail or trade environment.
- Full driving license.
