Trading in Ballymena for over a century, Fyfes now operate from 18 branches in Northern Ireland. We employ over 250 staff, of which more than 80 have been with the company in excess of 10 years. Position Job Ref: CSA/10/01/26

Hours: 40 hours per week, 08:30 – 17:30 Monday to Friday. Alternate Saturdays (09:00 – 13:00) required.

Location: Mallusk Branch, Newtownabbey.

Job Role: The purpose of the role is to maximise sales by establishing excellent relationships with existing and new customers, assisting the branch in achieving sales and profit targets. The successful applicant will work as part of a team dealing with a variety of sectors, predominantly automotive but also engineering customers. Customer enquiries are wide-ranging and contact occurs at the counter and over the phone.

Responsibilities:

  • Maximise sales for the branch.
  • Handle parts requirements of customers through counter service and sales.
  • Service customers promptly and efficiently, ensuring all parts are supplied and invoiced correctly.
  • Work within a team and communicate with other members.
  • Warehouse duties – receiving, checking and storing incoming deliveries; picking, packing and dispatching orders.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Criteria:

  • Record of great customer service.
  • Good knowledge of vehicle parts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable outlook.
  • Good computer skills to utilise our electronic parts catalogues and product lookup systems.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous experience in an automotive sales environment, counter sales, or motor mechanic.
  • Previous experience working with MAM Autopart and Autocat software.
  • Previous experience working in a warehouse (picking, packing and dispatching orders).
  • Full driving licence.
