Location: Mallusk

Hours: You will work 40 hours per week, working between the hours of 08.30am and 17.30pm Monday - Friday. In addition, you will be required to work alternative Saturdays between the hours of 9.00 and 1.00pm.

The Role: We are currently looking for an Assistant Branch Manager for our team in our Mallusk branch. The successful candidate will support the Branch Manager in the day-to-day running of the branch and deputise in their absence, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the business. This is a key role focused on delivering strong branch performance, excellent customer service and effective team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in driving branch sales and achieving profit margins in line with agreed targets
  • Warehouse duties - ensuring timely processing of goods, receiving, checking and storing incoming deliveries
  • Picking, packing and dispatching orders
  • Ensure stock accuracy at all times, investigating and resolving discrepancies
  • Deliver and promote excellent, prompt customer service, handling parts queries and complaints professionally
  • Ensure efficient telephone handling and minimise missed calls
  • Maintain accurate cash handling processes and investigate any variances
  • Support credit control procedures to ensure debtor targets are achieved
  • Assist in ensuring appropriate staffing levels and maintaining accurate staff records
  • Support the training, mentoring and development of branch staff
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations
  • Assist in maintaining clear communication with the team regarding targets and priorities

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or management role
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • A great record of customer service
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable outlook
  • Good computer skills to utilise our electronic parts catalogues and product look up systems

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous experience in an automotive sales environment, counter sales, or motor mechanic
  • Previous experience working with MAM Autopart and Autocat Software
  • Previous experience in stock control and branch operations
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices in a retail or trade environment
  • Full driving license
