The Position: We are currently recruiting for a full-time, permanent Driver in Downpatrick.

Closing Date: 16/08/2026

Hours: You will work 40 hours per week, working between the hours of 08:30 and 17:30 Monday to Friday. Occasional Saturdays may be required.

Job Role: As a driver, you will be responsible for the safe, timely delivery and collection of automotive and engineering parts to and from clients, suppliers and internal locations. This position is critical in maintaining our high service standards and ensuring smooth supply chain operations. The main duties for the role will be:

  • Safely transport vehicle and engineering components between clients, suppliers, and company sites.
  • Load and unload goods with care, ensuring accurate and secure handling.
  • Verify delivery documentation and promptly report any discrepancies.
  • Communicate regularly with the logistics team regarding delivery progress, delays, or issues.
  • Perform routine vehicle checks (fuel, oil, tires) and maintain vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness.
  • Occasionally support warehouse activities such as inventory checks, packing, and stock organisation.
  • Always comply with traffic laws, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Provide courteous and professional service to clients during collections and deliveries.

Qualifications / Skills / Experience:

Essential:

  • Valid driving license
  • Proven experience as a driver
  • Familiarity with local and regional routes.
  • Strong time management and communication skills.
  • Punctual, professional, and reliable.

Desirable:

  • Forklift licence.
  • A good knowledge of vehicle parts
  • Experience using route planning software or delivery tracking systems.
