We are Northern Ireland's largest independent Motor Factor and a family business, distributing across Northern Ireland's automotive aftermarket and fabrication sector.
The Position: We are currently recruiting for a full time, permanent Warehouse Operative/Counter Sales Parts Advisor in our Dunmurry Branch.
Hours: You will work 40 hours per week, between the hours of 08:30 and 17:30 Monday to Friday. Occasional Saturday working will be expected paid at overtime rate (approximately 1 in 2 Saturdays, 09:00 to 13:00).
Job Role: As a Warehouse Operative and Counter Sales Parts Advisor you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth handling of stock to our branches and customers. You will also help to maximise sales by establishing excellent relationships with existing and new customers at the counter. The role represents a great opportunity for individuals wishing to develop a career in the automotive sector.
- Receiving, checking and storing incoming deliveries
- Picking, packing and dispatching orders
- Maintaining stock accuracy through regular stock checks and system updates
- Ensure warehouse areas are clean, tidy and safe at all times
- Maximising sales for the branch
- Handling parts requirements of customers through counter service and sales
- Serving customers promptly and efficiently, ensuring all parts are supplied and invoiced correctly
- Working within a team and communicating and liaising with other team members
Qualifications / Skills / Experience: To be considered for the role you must meet the following essential criteria:
- Experience in a warehouse or distribution setting
- A good knowledge of vehicle parts
- A record of great customer service
- Strong attention to detail and organisation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable outlook
Desirable Criteria:
- Forklift licence
- Full Driving License
- Knowledge of inventory or warehouse management systems
- Previous experience in an automotive sales environment, counter sales or motor mechanics
- Previous experience working with MAM Autopart and Autocat software
