The Position: We are currently recruiting for a full-time, permanent Counter Sales Parts Advisor for our Ballymena Head Office.

Closing Date: 16/08/2026

Hours: You will work 40 hours per week, working between the hours of 08:30 and 17:30 Monday to Friday. In addition, you will be required to work each alternate Saturday between 09:00 and 13:00.

Job Role: The purpose of the role will be to maximise sales by establishing excellent relationships with existing and new customers to assist in the achievements of the branch sales and profit targets. The successful applicant will work as part of a team dealing with a variety of sectors, predominantly automotive but also including engineering customers. The range of customer enquiries is very wide and contact is both at the counter and over the phone.

Main Duties:

  • To maximise sales for the branch.
  • Handle parts requirements of customers through counter service and sales.
  • To service customers promptly and efficiently, ensuring all parts are supplied and invoiced correctly.
  • To work within a team and to communicate and liaise with other team members.
  • To attend Supplier's Training and Presentation meetings and undertake training and personal development as and when instructed.

Qualifications / Skills / Experience: This role represents a great opportunity for individuals wishing to develop a career in the automotive sector. Essential Criteria:

  • A record of great customer service.
  • A good knowledge of vehicle parts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable outlook.
  • Good computer skills to utilise our electronic parts catalogues and product lookup systems.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous experience in an automotive sales environment or 2 years as a motor mechanic.
  • Previous experience working with MAM Autopart and Autocat software.
  • Full driving license.
