Engineering Manager β Water & Wastewater
We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams across major water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
You will oversee engineering delivery throughout the full project lifecycle, from feasibility and design through procurement, construction, commissioning and handover, ensuring technical solutions meet client, regulatory, commercial and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multidisciplinary Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, ICA and Process engineering teams.
- Provide technical governance and assurance across multiple projects.
- Oversee design delivery through to construction and handover.
- Manage technical risk and ensure compliance with water industry standards.
- Support NEC contract processes including early warnings, compensation events and variations.
- Act as a senior engineering contact for clients and key stakeholders.
- Develop and mentor engineering teams.
- Drive value engineering, innovation, BIM and sustainable design.
About You
- Degree qualified in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineering.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) preferred.
- Significant water/wastewater infrastructure experience.
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams within a D&C environment.
- Strong understanding of NEC3/NEC4 and associated commercial processes.
- Experience delivering projects or frameworks for UK water companies.
- Strong client-facing and leadership skills.
