We are seeking a skilled Senior BIM Technician to support the delivery of high-quality models, assurance and digital information across a range of major infrastructure projects in the UK and internationally.

You will work closely with Engineers, Designers, Construction Teams and BIM Managers to produce coordinated, compliant models and drawings in line with project and client requirements.

We promote based on performance and integrity – time served is not a factor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce and develop 3D models and Drawing outputs using relevant BIM authoring tools.
  • Management of Information delivered on the projects we are involved in.
  • Identify areas for improvement or efficiency and take ownership of promoting best practice – challenging where necessary.
  • Support the coordination of multidisciplinary models and assist with clash detection.
  • Prepare drawings, schedules, and model-based information for project deliverables.
  • Ensure models comply with CAD standards, project BEPs, and information requirements.
  • Assist with model audits, QA checks, asset tagging and asset data validation.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain organised model structures, naming conventions, and file management.
  • Support information exchanges at key project stages.
  • Ability to forecast task workloads and meet self-set deadlines.
  • Empower the company vision of “training our own” to mentor and educate our apprentices
  • A desire to be involved, and aware of aspects of running the business, and project management on our projects
  • Required Skills & Experience
  • An HNC/HND or degree in an Engineering discipline.
  • Proven experience as a BIM Technician or similar role within the UK construction industry.
  • Working knowledge of Bentley Microstation / Openbuilding Designer and preferably additionally Autodesk Revit, Civil3D / Bentley Open Roads.
  • Previous experience using Project Wise or similar CDE
  • Ability to use clash detection tools such as Navisworks Manage / Bentley i Twin
  • Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills and accommodating junior apprentice’s learning needs.
