The Opportunity FYBA is supporting a growing infrastructure consultancy that is expanding its commercial team due to continued demand across major UK programmes. This opportunity would suit an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to work on complex infrastructure and capital delivery projects across sectors such as water, rail, highways, utilities, energy and aviation.
You will join a collaborative commercial team delivering cost and contract management services across the full project lifecycle - from early project development and procurement through to delivery and project completion. Alongside exposure to nationally significant infrastructure schemes, the organisation is known for its people-first culture, supportive leadership and a genuine focus on work-life balance, offering flexible working hours and a hybrid approach that allows teams to balance office collaboration with home working.
Key Responsibilities- Provide cost and commercial management support across infrastructure and capital projects
- Prepare and manage project cost plans, forecasts and commercial reports
- Support procurement activities including tender documentation and bid evaluations
- Administer contracts and manage change control processes
- Review contractor applications, valuations and variations
- Monitor project budgets and identify commercial risks and opportunities
- Provide clear commercial advice to project teams and stakeholders
- Contribute to the successful delivery of large-scale infrastructure programmes
- Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor on major construction or infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of NEC contracts and commercial management processes
- Experience supporting procurement and contract administration
- Ability to manage cost reporting and forecasting on complex projects
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or similar
- Chartered status (MRICS) or currently working towards it
- Experience within infrastructure sectors such as water, rail, highways, energy, utilities or aviation
- Experience working within a consultancy or client advisory environment
