Location: Hybrid working from our client's office near Trafford House, Manchester.

Role Profile:
- Provide design deliverables that satisfy safety and quality requirements.
- Identify efficient design solutions from scopes and site visits and communicate these to client and project team.
- Direct and develop CAD technicians and more junior designers and graduates.
- Prepare design risk assessments, reports and specifications.
- Design in compliance with relevant technical, professional and water company standards.
- Ensure project change for design package is fully implemented and recorded.
- Undertake work using formal processes and procedures.
- Estimate hours required for design packages.
- Attend and present designs at ALM, KM meetings and similar.
The Projects you'll be working on:
- Varied projects across the UK water industry, AMP7 & AMP8 including: Designs of UMON 3 and 4 upgrades at sewage treatment works nationwide.
- Designs of clean water main replacements nationwide.
What we require from you:
- 5-10 years' relevant design experience in the water industry.
- Graduate, HND or significant experience from Technician level.
- Good level of IT skills.
- Registered with professional body and working towards chartership.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Chartered engineer.
- Experience with both clean and dirty water.
- Awareness of construction methods and materials.
- Knowledge of Engineering Drawing Practices.
