Contract Type: Permanent or Contract (Outside IR35 where applicable)

About the Role

We\’re on the lookout for an experienced and driven MEICA Commissioning Engineer to join a leading contractor in the UK water industry . This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of water and wastewater projects, with most of the work centred around the Aldershot area.

Whether you\’re looking for a permanent position or contract work , we’re open to hearing from talented engineers from a Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control or Automation background.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support commissioning activities across clean and wastewater sites
• Work closely with site teams, subcontractors, and the client to ensure timely and effective delivery
• Troubleshoot MEICA systems, validate installation, and support FAT/SAT processes
• Produce detailed commissioning plans, reports, and documentation
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, H&S procedures, and environmental guidelines
• Attend progress meetings and liaise with design and delivery teams
• Support handover and training for operational staff

What We\’re Looking For

• Proven experience in a MEICA commissioning role (water industry experience ideal)
• Strong technical background in one or more of the following: mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control systems, automation
• Familiarity with water treatment processes and assets (pumps, MCCs, telemetry, PLCs, etc.)
• Ability to read technical drawings and interpret commissioning documentation
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• CSCS/ECS card, and ideally EUSR or similar water industry tickets
• Full UK driving licence
