What you will be doing:
- As CAD Senior Technician, you’ll produce CAD designs in line with Business Management Systems (BMS) and CDM regulations, supporting PMEICA and Civils design, supply chain procurement, and site activities as required.
- Assist in managing consultants and subcontractor design outputs.
- Provide technical support, mentor junior staff, and manage your own projects across multiple frameworks.
- Review the Employer’s Information Requirements (EIR) alongside project, business, and procurement plans.
- Create a safe working environment and act as the key contact for BIM technical requirements — respond to client needs, develop the BEP into a Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP), and lead BIM workshops.
About You:
- Strong knowledge of ISO 19650 standards and BIM documentation/workflow processes, including CDE platforms such as Viewpoint for Projects (VfP) and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
- Qualified to or working towards an HNC/Degree in a relevant discipline.
- Sound understanding of Health & Safety legislation, including the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and CDM 2015.
- Good grasp of subcontractor processes, contracts, and commercial principles.
- Awareness of project management tools such as programming, cash flow analysis, and resource planning.
- Working towards or holding membership of a relevant professional institution (e.g. IMechE).
