CCTV & Access Control Installation Engineer
Location: Central London and surrounding London boroughs
Contract: 12+ months
We are recruiting experienced CCTV and Access Control Installation Engineers for a long-term security installation programme across Central London and the surrounding boroughs.
The work will be undertaken within occupied and operational buildings. Applicants must have proven experience delivering the first fix, second fix, termination and testing of CCTV and access-control systems.
Key responsibilities
- Install cable tray, basket, trunking and conduit in plastic and metal
- Install and route security cabling
- Install and terminate CCTV cameras and associated equipment
- Install and terminate access-control devices and peripherals
- Label and test completed installations
- Conduct device power-up checks and functional testing
- Identify and rectify installation-related faults
- Carry out basic local commissioning and demonstrate completed systems
- Work from issued drawings, specifications and cable-route information
- Report any design discrepancies, clashes or site constraints to the Site Manager
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, productivity and housekeeping
- Work safely and professionally within live, occupied environments
Essential requirements
- Previous CCTV and access-control installation experience
- Valid ECS or CSCS card
- Asbestos Awareness certification
- Ability to complete first-fix and second-fix installation work
- Experience terminating, testing and fault-finding security systems
- Ability to travel between sites across Central London and the surrounding boroughs
- Copies of relevant qualifications and competency certificates before starting
Desirable experience
- Hanwha CCTV systems
- Janus C4 Access Control systems
- Valid IPAF 3A and/or 3B licence
- Experience using a laptop for CCTV testing and basic commissioning
