The Opportunity
Our client, a leading engineering and infrastructure contractor, are seeking an experienced Technical Author to support the delivery of major projects within the water and utilities sector. This role will focus on producing, reviewing, and managing high-quality technical documentation to support project delivery and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and publish technical documentation for live projects
- Review and compile Operation & Maintenance manuals
- Assemble and manage asset data and technical records
- Convert complex technical information into clear, user-friendly documentation
- Liaise with project teams, clients, and external stakeholders
- Maintain document control processes and project records
- Support continuous improvement within the technical documentation function
About You
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Technical Author
- Strong Microsoft Office and document management skills
- Ability to interpret and present complex technical information clearly
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience within water, utilities, engineering, or project delivery environments preferred
