Location: United Utilities Region (North West)
Our client, a leading Tier 1 contractor within the UK water industry, is looking to recruit an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join their growing delivery team across the United Utilities framework. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a range of clean water and wastewater infrastructure projects, supporting the successful commissioning of electrical, instrumentation, control and automation systems from installation through to final handover.
The Role
As a Commissioning Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring new and upgraded assets are commissioned safely, efficiently and in line with project specifications. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering commissioning activities across water and wastewater projects.
- Commissioning MEICA and EICA systems.
- Carrying out loop checks, functional testing and fault finding.
- Testing PLC, SCADA and telemetry systems.
- Commissioning pumps, motors, MCCs, control panels and process equipment.
- Working with flow, pressure, level and analytical instrumentation.
- Producing commissioning plans, test documentation and handover records.
- Working closely with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors and client representatives.
