We are looking for an experienced Civils Working Supervisor to lead site teams across water and wastewater treatment projects. This is a hands-on role where you will both supervise and actively contribute to civils works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead site operatives on civils works including excavation, drainage, concreting, and reinstatement.
- Work alongside the team as a hands-on operative when required.
- Plan daily activities and allocate tasks effectively.
- Ensure all works are carried out in line with drawings, specifications, and programme requirements.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Conduct site briefings, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
- Coordinate plant, materials, and labour on site.
- Liaise with site managers, engineers, and clients.
- Monitor progress and report on productivity and any issues.
Requirements
Essential:
- Strong background in civil engineering / groundworks.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or ganger role.
- Experience working on utilities or water infrastructure projects.
- Valid CSCS card.
- SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong knowledge of health & safety practices.
