A leading specialist in capital project delivery, environmental and energy management, plant maintenance, and emergency response services is seeking a Project Engineer (Electrical) to join their expanding team. Operating across the UK 24/7, the business delivers practical and cost-effective solutions to complex water, wastewater, and environmental challenges. This role offers excellent variety, responsibility, and long-term career progression within a growing organisation.
The Role
- Delivering projects from concept through to completion, ensuring technical excellence and compliance throughout.
- Developing electrical project scopes, programmes, and resource requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with client specifications, frameworks, and statutory regulations.
- Leading HAZOP, HAZCOM, FAT, and SAT processes.
- Reviewing RAMS and maintaining electrical design risk assessments.
- Managing defect resolution and project close-out activities.
- Promoting strong health & safety performance, including CDM compliance.
- Reviewing electrical designs, tenders, and subcontractor performance.
- Collaborating with project, engineering, and operational teams to minimise risk and drive efficiency.
About You
- A recognised qualification in Electrical Engineering.
- Proven experience delivering electrical engineering projects (ideally within utilities, water, or industrial environments).
- Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations and NEC Contracts.
- Good understanding of electrical design standards and compliance.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and ideally Revit or Inventor.
- Strong organisational, planning, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Full UK driving licence (site travel required).
