Are you an experienced Electrical Technician looking for more than just another mundane role? This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing specialist within the pump hire, installation, and maintenance sector at a pivotal stage of its expansion. Based from the Middlesbrough depot, you'll play a key role in supporting customers across the North East while helping shape the future of a depot that has been established for less than a year, but is part of a wider group that have seven other depots across the UK.

The Role: As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Repairing, servicing, maintaining, and testing electrical control panels
  • Diagnosing and fault-finding on pumps and associated electrical systems
  • Installing and connecting pumps and control panels
  • Commissioning electrical systems to customer requirements
  • Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and relay logic
  • Supporting both depot-based and on-site projects
  • Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and quality
  • Completing service documentation and records accurately

Location & Travel: The long-term focus of the role will be supporting projects across the North East, particularly around Middlesbrough. However, candidates must be willing to travel throughout the UK as required, particularly during onboarding and training. This will include working alongside experienced teams at other depots and attending development and training programmes at the company's Head Office in Gloucester.

Essential Requirements:

  • ECS Gold Card
  • 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification (or equivalent)
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance experience
  • Experience working with industrial electrical systems and control panels
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and relay logic
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable Experience:

  • Variable Speed Drives (VSDs)
  • Pump industry experience
  • Electrical commissioning experience
  • Water industry or utilities sector experience
  • Knowledge of submersible pumping systems
