A reputable contractor within the UK water industry is currently seeking a Mechanical CAD Technician to support ongoing projects on the Welsh Water framework. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CAD professional looking for a long-term contract role with flexibility and competitive rates.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate mechanical drawings and models (both 2D and 3D) to support a range of water infrastructure projects. Working closely with engineers and project teams, they will play a key role in ensuring designs are delivered efficiently and to a high standard. This position offers a hybrid working arrangement, with 2-3 days per week required on-site in St Asaph, and the remaining time working remotely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Producing and updating mechanical drawings and 3D models
  • Supporting engineers with design documentation and revisions
  • Ensuring drawings and models comply with industry and project standards
  • Assisting with the coordination of design information across teams

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical CAD Technician (2D and 3D)

  • Availability to attend site in St Asaph 2-3 days per week
