We are seeking an M&E Project Engineer to support the delivery of multi-disciplinary projects across water and wastewater treatment sites. The role will involve coordinating mechanical and electrical works from site survey through installation, commissioning, and handover, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver M&E projects on water and wastewater treatment sites
- Coordinate mechanical and electrical installations including process plant, pumps, pipework, LV systems, MCCs, and cabling
- Manage subcontractors, site activities, and day-to-day project delivery
- Support M&E design coordination and commissioning activities
- Produce method statements, risk assessments, and commissioning documentation
- Manage project costs, programmes, and technical compliance
- Ensure completion of M&E O&M manuals and handover documentation
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance
Requirements
- Experience as an M&E Project Engineer within water treatment, utilities, or process environments
- HNC/HND or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- CSCS Gold Card (or relevant trade/engineering card)
- SMSTS qualification
- Good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in live process environments
- Ability to travel to sites across East Anglia
Desirable
- Experience working on live water or wastewater treatment sites
- NVQ Level 4 or higher in an engineering discipline
- Exposure to ICA / control systems (advantageous)
