Our client is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the successful delivery of projects within the water or wider utilities sector. The role requires a proven track record in managing site operations on infrastructure or utility-based schemes, with a strong focus on safety, programme, and quality.
Candidates should be located within a commutable distance of the project to ensure consistent site presence. Applicants must also hold full right to work in the UK, as visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Role Outline:- Maintain a safe site, ensuring full adherence to health & safety, CDM regulations, and quality requirements.
- Oversee daily operations, coordinating site teams and supply chain partners.
- Track progress, manage costs, and update programmes as needed.
- Organise and integrate multiple workstreams while identifying efficiency opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and commercial colleagues.
- Carry out site inspections, oversee RAMS, permits, and deliver safety briefings.
- Address technical challenges and uphold high quality standards.
- Support, mentor, and review team performance and development.
- Strong commitment to safe working practices.
- Experience delivering complex or concurrent work packages.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, data, and specifications.
- Well organised, with the capacity to manage competing priorities.
- Confident communicator with teams, subcontractors, and clients.
- Solid understanding of CDM 2015 and NEC forms of contract.
- Commercial awareness with close attention to detail.
- Effective leadership and delegation capabilities.
- Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
- HNC (or higher) in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
- SMSTS certification.
- CSCS card.
- EUSR (Modules 1 & 2).
- Temporary Works Coordinator certification.
- First Aid and Fire Marshal training.
- Experience within M&E and the water industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 and CAD software.
