We are working with a leading engineering organisation in the water sector who are looking to appoint a Technical Specialist Wastewater (Mechanical Bias) to act as a key technical authority within their process engineering team. This is a high-impact role supporting major infrastructure and treatment projects, with responsibility for driving technical excellence, innovation, and best practice across the business.

You will act as the go-to expert for wastewater engineering, with a particular focus on the mechanical aspects of treatment systems and plant design.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Providing expert technical input to bid and delivery teams
  • Supporting the design and specification of mechanical equipment (pumps, pipework, sludge handling systems, etc.)
  • Acting as a focal point for complex technical challenges across wastewater projects

About you

  • Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
Desirable:
  • Chartered status (CEng) or working towards
  • Membership of a relevant professional institution
