Our client, a leading water sector specialist, are looking for Electricians in Yorkshire. This role is working on clean and waste water sites. Ideally, candidates will have previous water sector experience; however, a relevant industrial/plant background can be considered. This role is van based, paid door to door, with a van provided. Overtime is paid at x1.5 & x2. You must have full Right to Work in the UK and a UK Driving Licence to be considered; sponsorship cannot be offered.
Responsibilities:
- General Electrical duties.
- Install, Test, Maintain and examine all current carrying equipment up to 1000v ac, 1200v dc.
- Work on HV systems to 11000v under the direct guidance and supervision of qualified SAP and AP.
- Safe working knowledge of company Permit to work system.
- Installation of Electrical equipment such as MCC panels, motors, control equipment including all electrically operated fixed and portable equipment.
- Selection and erection of cable handling systems.
- Fault finding on Electrical equipment.
- Works can be varied and at times may require undertaking other duties such as assisting Mechanical or Civils engineering staff.
- Responsibility for the use of a company van.
- Will work away from home on occasions when travelling is not in the best interest of the company (this will tend to be Monday to Friday, weekends back home).
- Implement all of the company’s rules or procedures within the Health and Safety Policy that are appropriate to the activities being undertaken.
- Understand and sign onto all CPP/RAMS on Site and follow Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessments.
- Adhere to all Health and Safety requirements and rules on Site.
- Always think Safety in mind and look after yourself and your colleagues.
- Wear all appropriate PPE.
Qualifications:
- Electrical apprenticeship or level 3 Electrical qualification as minimum.
- JIB Gold Card holder.
- 2391 Test and Inspection.
- 18th Edition.
- Lifting operations qualified (CPCS) (Desirable).
- Confined Space trained (Current) (Desirable).
- First Aid (Desirable).
- Health and Safety trained (IOSH) (Desirable).
- HV Qualified, assessed and trained (Desirable).
- SMSTS qualified (Desirable).
